Daniel O’Rear Goes To War
Daniel O’Rear served several tours of duty with the Virginia Militia in the war of the Revolution, including one with George Rodgers Clark. He received a pension under the Act of 1832. This document, preserved in his father’s desk at Cloverfield records an agreement related to one tour of service when he was 17 years old:
